To join the company

The Académie du Spectacle Equestre recruits all year round by auditioning riders wishing to join the company.

The following are required:

• Good horse riding skills in Haute Ecole dressage (two tempi changes, change of foot...)
• A willingness to learn other artistic disciplines in order to participate in the Académie’s shows and progress within the company.

The Académie’s everyday life:

• Dressage work, supervised by teaching riders
• Weekly advanced classes with a rider-teacher (currently Carlos Pinto) and Bartabas
• Classes in dance, solo and group singing, artistic fencing on foot and on horseback, Kyudo
• Taking part in the company’s repertoire show performed every weekend at Versailles and on tour
• Taking part in the Academie’s creations, directed and choreographed by Bartabas.
