Zingaro

Nestled on the slopes of the Fort d'Aubervilliers in its wooden theatre, the Théâtre Equestre Zingaro has this year celebrated its 25th anniversary. Indeed, Bartabas’ creations and his troupe have been travelling the world and telling their stories for a quarter of century.

From the first equestrian cabarets up to Battuta, not forgetting the wonderful Chimère, Zingaro shows combine equestrian theatre, dance, world music, poetry and many other disciplines: as many invitations to travel and vectors of universal emotions.

With Darshan, his new show performed at the Fort d’Aubervilliers from 1st October, Bartabas has imagined a huge circular shadow theatre in strange continuous movement, leading the audience into pleasant gravitation.
Once more, Bartabas invites us on a journey into our inner selves. He offers a palette of strong emotions that travel through time and space in a shadow theatre where dreams ride around on horses.
